About Robbie Tann

Robbie Tann is an actor based in New York whose work has been seen all over the country. He was most recently seen in The Pearl Theatre’s Public Enemy (adaption by David Harrower and directed by Hal Brooks). Previously he was seen off-Broadway in Sheila Callaghan's Everything You Touch produced by Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre. Previous theatre includes playing the role of Albert Einstein in Long Wharf Theatre's production of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Leo in 4000 Miles at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and The Hangar Theatre, Bobby in American Buffalo at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Jake Miller in Dan LeFranc's world premiere of Troublemaker, or the Freakin' Kick-A Adventures of Bradley Boatright at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and Huck Finn in Laura Eason's adaptation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which toured three regional theaters, including the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. He also appeared as the Artful Dodger in Neil Bartlett's adaption of Oliver Twist with the Vermont Stage Company and in the site specific play Heist! in the 34th annual Humana Festival. Robbie's work has also been seen Off-Broadway at the New Victory Theatre in Times Square which was the final stop in the tour of Tom Sawyer. He's also been seen as Conrade in Much Ado About Nothing with the New York Classical Theatre as well as the world premiere of Chip Zien's musical The History of War at NYMF. Robbie has also participated in many developmental projects such as the staged reading of Punks' Carnival at the Signature Theatre, David Adjmi's workshop of Marie Antoinette, Lauren Gunderson's This is Wittenberg at the LARK and Sara Farrington's play Requiem of Black Marie.

Robbie will next be seen on the new NBC series “Chicago Justice.” He has appeared on "Nurse Jackie," "Person of Interest," "Gotham," "Unforgettable," "Elementary," "Shades of Blue," "Limitless," "Orange Is The New Black" and the upcoming HBO series "The Deuce."  His feature film debut was in director Jason Bateman's adaptation of The Family Fang opposite Bateman, Michael Chernus and Gabriel Ebert. Robbie can also be seen in the feature film Freeheld opposite Julianne Moore and Ellen Page. 

Robbie recently shot a lead role in the new feature film Hedgehog from writer/director Lindsey Copeland (opposite Madeline Brewer).
