About Nikki Massoud

Nikki Massoud is a Dual Citizen of the United States and Canada and speaks fluent Farsi as well as conversational French. She earned her M.F.A. from Brown/Trinity Rep as well as a B.A. in History, Psychology and Theatre at Georgetown University. She was also awarded a full scholarship to the Midsummer at Oxford Program at BADA (the British American Drama Academy) where her teachers included Andrew Wade, James Bundy, Ian Wooldridge and the great John Barton.

Notable credits include originating the role of Marina in Zealot by Theresa Rebeck at South Coast Rep, directed by Marc Masterson. Her other regional credits include Emily in Our Town at Portland Center Stage and Marina/Thaisa in Rinde Eckert’s musical adaptation of Pericles, directed by David Schweitzer at Two River Theatre.

Nikki is an accomplished singer, composer and musician. She is classically trained as a lyric coloratura and also sings and plays the violin and piano for the folk/rock band 3pile, which composed original songs for Trinity Repertory Company’s The Grapes of Wrath.

Most recently, Nikki made her Off-Broadway debut as Bianca in Sam Gold’s critically acclaimed production of Othello at New York Theatre Workshop, alongside Daniel Craig and David Oyelowo. She also made her TV debut in the recurring role of Adama on Showtime’s Homeland. This Summer, she will be tackling the iconic role of Isabella in Measure for Measure, which will be directed by Simon Godwin at Theatre For A New Audience.
