About Lisa Joyce

Originally from Chicago, Lisa Joyce appeared in Adam Rapp’s Red Light Winter which premiered at the Steppenwolf Theatre before transferring Off-Broadway and being named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Lisa made her West End/Broadway debut in La Bete with Mark Rylance and appeared alongside Cherry Jones in the national tour of Doubt (Helen Hayes nom.) Some of her favorite Off-Broadway credits include: Nora and Delia Ephron’s Love, Loss and What I Wore and Soho Rep.’s The Ugly One (Drama Desk nom.). Lisa has also performed at The Atlantic, The Public, New York Theater Workshop, The Signature, Classic Stage Company, Rattlestick, Williamstown and The Studio Theater in D.C. where she received a Helen Hayes Award for Best Actress for her performance in Blackbird. Lisa has also worked with the LAByrinth Theater Company where she is a member. TV and film credits: Insecure, Ricki and the Flash, Billy+Billie, The Following, Boardwalk Empire, The Good Wife, Fringe, Law & Order:SVU, The Brave One, Oren Moverman’s The Messenger, Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight and A Master Builder (Andre Gregory and Wallace Shawn's adaptation of the Ibsen classic directed by Jonathan Demme). Lisa is currently producing a film adaptation of Joy Williams' novel, The Changeling and a theatrical production of Hedda Gabler, directed by Andre Gregory. She lives with her husband in Brooklyn.
