About Julia Crockett

Julia Crockett is a New York based performer with a wide range and diverse training. She currently plays the role of Sarah Barnes on Cinemax's dark drama, Outcast, created by The Walking Dead producer Robert Kirkman. Crockett was directed by David Fincher in Netflix's new crime series Mindhunter and played the title role in A Female Philoctetes with Aquila Theater Company at BAM Fisher. Additional work in television and film includes Blindspot (NBC) Mr. Robot (USA) Law & Order; Criminal Intent (NBC), Patience (Web), The Madness of the Day (Independent), and The Absence (Independent). 

Crockett is an actress with a rich background in physical and movement based work. She has extensive training and experience in the Williamson Technique, Viewpoints, Laban, Contact Improvisation, and studied under choreographic mentors Nathan Flower (Tisch, NYU) and Danielle Liccardo (Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers). She is a graduate of New York University and studied the Meisner Technique under Maggie Flanigan. She is also a choreographer and founder of the movement based company Julia Crockett & Group.
