
Joey Rose
Joey Rose (they/them) is a non-binary actor, music artist, writer.
They can be seen on Bunny Michael’s streaming series What Would Higher Self Do? as Bunny’s punk crush, SK.
Joey is the creator/performer of the 25-character nationally-touring solo show MOM BABY GOD (Washington Post Critics Pick), an immersive experience which takes audiences inside an abstinence-only youth conference.
As a music artist and producer, Joey creates under the name Joey Baby, a “nonbinary boy band of 1” heavily inspired by Y2K-era r&b, pop, boy bands and girl groups. Their debut self-directed music video for their single “Dance W/ U” can be seen on Youtube.
Joey’s theater credits include Aziza Barnes’ BLKS (Woolly Mammoth), directed by Nataki Garrett. They originated roles in the world premieres of Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm’s Hooded, or Being Black for Dummies and Lindsay Joelle’s Trayf, and have performed extensively in new play development at The Kennedy Center.
