About Brenna Palughi

Brenna Palughi has performed off and on Broadway, in network and cable television, film and web, in video art, at museums, with veterans at VA hospitals and in dance pieces around the city.

Her most critically acclaimed roles include the autistic Sarah in Scared of Sarah at La MaMa, Whitney, a woman with schizoid personality disorder; in World Builders at the Contemporary American Theater Festival and her recurring role as a neurotic hippie, in HBO's High Maintenance.

Brenna is also a filmmaker.  She is finishing post-production on Close, a short film she wrote and directed.  She is currently filming The Fight, a collaboration with Sarah Lasley and Adria Vitlar, and in pre-production for a feature film, Spinsters.

Brenna received her MFA from the Yale School of Drama where she played queens and elves, Shakespearean lovers and Chekhovian sisters, beasts, executives and men and women in drag.  At different times in her career she has been labeled a fixture of the improv scene, a physical theater experimentalist, a sitcom girl and a go to for the weird woman.  Brenna is a proud member of The Actor's Center.
